Storage aid
Sometimes the midwife or the partner are not enough support during birth. Particularly in the case of extraordinarily strenuous deliveries, the FEBROMED positioning aid provides the necessary support. The positioning aid is designed in such a way that the mother-to-be can put her legs down during the birth – the child can still be delivered. The guiding lines help the newborn to come into the world safely.
The positioning aid is used while lying down, but thanks to it the mother benefits from advantages that are otherwise only available with a standing or sitting birth. The pelvic floor is relaxed by the FEBROMED positioning aid, the child finds its way into the pelvis more easily. The risk of a vena cava syndrome, i.e. a blocked artery, is also significantly reduced. The perineum is also relieved, and the dreaded perineal tear or incision usually does not occur. And incidentally, it has been shown in use that sciatica complaints in pregnant women could also be significantly reduced.
All these factors help to ensure a natural experience even in very exhausting births in the supine position. However, if surgery is necessary, the support is ideal for relieving pain in the hospital bed during the postpartum period. The support is made of one piece of foam and is extremely durable. It is easy to clean hygienically and can therefore be used again quickly. A perfect choice for the maternity ward, delivery room and birth centre.
