A secure hold is the basic prerequisite for vertical birth in a standing position. The advantages have been known for centuries – pain is reduced, the birth canal can widen to the maximum. The scientifically proven reduced administration of painkillers enables a gentle and above all conscious birth. Both mother and child benefit from this.

In order to fulfil these conditions, a support rope is indispensable in the delivery room. It can be attached in different ways and of course always depends on the spatial conditions of the delivery room and the requirements of the planners. A stable as well as flexible option is the ceiling rail from FEBROMED.

It allows the user to easily change the position of the holding rope over the entire length of the rail in order to be able to react flexibly to any changes in position of the expectant mother. The cable is locked independently by means of prefabricated notches.

The Febromed ceiling rail, also called ceiling bridge, is 1500mm millimetres long and the holding rope can be fixed every 175 millimetres. The rope, which is completely made of cotton and can be hygienically cleaned, is fixed by means of a simple principle. The rope itself is not looped around the rail, but it is latched in via a snap hook. The hook can then be fixed in the notches, gravity does the rest.
