The great combiner among FEBROMED’s birthing systems: COMBITRAC®. This birthing system combines all elements that play a role especially during the opening phase. The PELVIBALL® enables the expectant mother to benefit from all the advantages of a circular movement of the pelvis. And these have been scientifically proven: The movement relaxes the pelvic floor, the mother’s body prepares itself for the birth almost as if by itself. This reduces both physical and psychological stress. This creates all the conditions for vertical birth, a birth position that many women find the most comfortable.

In this relatively early phase of birth, a secure hold is necessary. The COMBITRAC® achieves this primarily by fixing the PELVIBALLS® to the base plate and providing a stable hold for the mother on the rope. With this birth position, FEBROMED draws on thousands of years of experience of midwives and labour mothers, who presumably already in ancient Indian societies provided relief for the expectant mother by means of a rope in the vertical position.
